William R. Cook, 95, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Londonderry Village. Born Friday, May 18, 1928 in Lehighton, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Carrie (Sandel) Cook. He was married almost 60 years to Nancy E. (Bukosky) Cook who passed away in October 2021.
Bill was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He served in Korea with a MASH unit earning the rank of Corporal. He was employed 48 years as a seed analyst with the PA Department of Agriculture. Bill was an avid gardener and was involved in numerous capacities at Londonderry Village.
Surviving is a son James E. Cook and wife Jennifer of Harrisburg, and two grandchildren: Jillian and Jacob Cook.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
