Anna E. Flowers

Anna Eva Flowers, 94, of Palmyra, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 4, 2017. Born in Steelton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Eva Knebel. She was widowed by her husband Willard A. Flowers in 1989.

Anna was a homemaker for many years, then went on to work for A.S.K. Foods as a cook until retirement. She was an avid coffee drinker who enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was faithful to God and loved her family dearly. She will be lovingly remembered as being a kind and gentle woman who was always thinking of others.

She is survived by four daughters: Marie A. Philipp (Jeffrey J.) of Richmond, VA, Janice M. Eby of Cleona, Joyce A. Cassel (Kerry L.) of Palmyra, and Jeanette A. Mohl (William F.) of Palmyra; daughter-in-law Judith C. Flowers; nine grandchildren: Leah, Caleb, Rachel, Angela, Andrew, Michael, Amanda, Jason, and Terri; four great grandchildren: Taylor, Zoey, Monty, and Eli; and sister Josie Shaub. She was preceded in death by her son Richard W. Flowers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7PM on Wednesday, September 27, at Living Hope Church, 3030 Schoolhouse Rd., Middletown, PA 17057 with Pastor Ken Mellinger officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 6-7PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
