Catherine Rosemary (Ciucci) Pasquini, 87, of Palmyra, formerly of Hershey, died at home on November 6, 2015. She waqs born in Dudley, Huntingdon County, PA on October 18, 1928. She was the third of eight children born to the late John and Lillian (Wolfe) Ciucci.
She graduated with high honors in 1946 from Saxton-Liberty High School in Bedford County, PA. Catherine was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra, and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary in her church. She was retired from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; was a member of the Mohler Senior Center, Hershey; member of Pennsylvania association of Retired State Employees; a member of the Catholic Golden Age; an honorary member of the Hershey Italian Club; a former member of the Greater Harrisburg Chapter of Sweet Adelines, Inc.; and a former member of Capital City Polka Dancers Association.
She was the widowed wife of Elio Pasquini who died in November 1995, they enjoyed 47 years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Gingrich, and four brothers, Pete, Savino, Louis, and Tony Ciucci.
She is survived by her son, Dominic, and her daughter Deborah, wife of Scott Herbe, all of Palmyra, as well as her grandchildren, Brandon Gingrich and wife Becky, Eric Pasquini, Angela Pasquini, Kasha Herbe, and Shane Herbe. Also surviving are two great-grandsons, Conner and Graeme Gingrich; and two sisters, Jeanne Anderson of Florida, and Madeline Intrieri of Harrisburg, and one brother, Col. John Ciucci (ret.) of Maryland. Her top priority always was her family.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 AM with Father James F. Podlesny as celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
