Clair Austin Miller, 94, of Palmyra, passed away in his home on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born Sunday, April 30, 1922 in Annville to the late Clayton Nolan and Sallie Shelly (Kettering) Miller. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 71 years, Christine Alvina (Dardeen) Miller.
Clair proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theater during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Clair’s Auto Repair. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid bowler. Clair was a faithful member of Annville Church of the Brethren, where he helped serve in the kitchen. Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by a brother Paul Miller and companion Lou Bender. He was predeceased by a son, Reed Austin Miller; and 2 brothers, Elmer and Harold Miller.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow the service in the Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra.
