Edward Tackett Lightner

Edward Tackett Lightner, 62, of Palmyra passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the son of Anna Mae Groves and the late Mid James Tackett of Garrison, KY.

He was a 1971 graduate of Palmyra High School. Following high school he served in the U.S. Air Force. Ed attended the LCBC in Manheim.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kim M. (Sternberger) Lightner and his mother.

Ed is survived by two children: Becky Lightner and Dan Lightner, husband of Jesssica, both of Omaha, NE, stepdaughter Heather Coy of Camp Hill, four grandchildren, three siblings: William Groves of Hummelstown, Ken Groves of Palmyra, and Rita George of Omaha, NE, and his beloved dog Beta.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 5 2015, at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Keith Walker officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, Inc.
