Eleanor B. Arndt

Eleanor B. Arndt, 100, of Annville, passed away on April 5, 2016.  She was born May 19, 1915 in Bachmanville, PA to the late Allen D. and Anna (Kulp) Brandt.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years Casper Edward Arndt.

Eleanor was a graduate of Palmyra High School in 1933 and continued her education at West Chester graduating in 1937.  She worked at Palmyra High School as a physical education teacher.  When not working she was an avid golfer, gardener, and loved to travel. More than anything else she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Smith and husband Samuel of Mountville; two sons, James E. Arndt and wife Harriet of Reedsville, and John A. Arndt and wife Rosanne of Kill Devil Hills, NC; nine grandchildren, Kathy Pobursky, and Brad and Jeff Smith, Brian, Andrew, and Patrick Arndt, and Jennifer Chaky, and Lindsay Howes and Michael Arndt; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor Daniel Lebo officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing from 9:30 until the time of the service.
