Eugene E. “Boydie” Boyd

Eugene E. “Boydie” Boyd, 66, of Annville, left for his never-ending hunting adventure, on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  He was born Saturday, January 8, 1949 in Hershey to Doris (Potteiger) Fritz and the late Ammon Boyd.  He was married to Marlissa B. “Lissa” (Lettecci) Boyd on May 22, 1980.

A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Boydie proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps.  For over 40 years, he worked at Weaber, Inc., Sawmill Company.  He was an avid hunter and was a former member of the Sons of Satan Motorcycle Club.  Above all, Boydie enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered as one crazy BAMF SOB.  Those who knew him could tell stories of his escapades and those who didn’t know him, knew of him and had stories of their own-all of which are true.  He was one of a kind and no obituary would ever do him justice.  So if you know a story of him, tell it.  If you don’t-make it up, he probably did it anyway.  Keep his legend alive, Semper Fi!

In addition to his wife of nearly 35 years, he will be lovingly missed by two daughters, Khrista T. Dechert and husband Joel, of Jonestown; Brandy A. Lannon and husband Joseph, of Cleona; three grandchildren, Mason, Logan and Heath; his mother, Doris Fritz, of Annville; a brother, Ammon Boyd, Jr. , of Lebanon and two sisters, Patricia Martin and husband Dennis, of Colebrook, Linda Wagner and husband Kenneth, of Lebanon as well as Boydie’s extended family and caring friends. 

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 6 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the funeral home from 5 PM until the time of the service on Friday.
