Frederick P. Pickard, Jr.

Frederick Payson Pickard, Jr., 71, of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Danvers, MA, he was the son of the late Frederick P. Pickard Sr. and Eleanor (Chase) Pickard. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 25 years Evelyn M. (Stasicha) Pickard.

Fred graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He then earned his Masters in business from Penn State University, Harrisburg. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 22 years. He then moved into the real estate business as a broker for 22 years. He was an avid fan of sprint car racing. Fred and his wife frequently went to the Willams Grove Speedway to watch the races. It’s also where they had their first date. He worked at the racetrack in the 70’s and 80’s as a first responder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Jeffrey T. Pickard (Virginia A.) of Harrisburg, and Jason C. Pickard of Reston, PA; stepson M. Thomas Jarvis (Melissa) of Charleroi, PA; two grandchildren: Treyton Pickard and Emilee Jarvis; and sister Joan Pickard.

A Viewing till be held from 6-8PM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 717-838-9211.  Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience.
