Helen Lewis Bailey

Helen Lewis Bailey of Palmyra passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. Born Thursday, March 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rinnie (Rambler) Lewis. She was the wife of Darwin J. Bailey who died in April 1992.

Helen was a member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren. She was retired from HERCO where she worked in Human Resources for over twenty years. She volunteered as a patient advocate for Penn State Hershey Medical Center as well as the Ronald McDonald House. Helen also enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Helen is survived by a daughter Barbara J. Mastrorocco and her husband, Donald of Harrisburg; two granddaughters: Molly DeAngelo and her husband, Kevin of Raleigh, NC, and Sarah Sprunger and her husband Russell of San Francisco, CA; three great grandchildren: Nick and Max DeAngelo, and Emilia Sprunger.

She was predeceased by five brothers: William, Steve, Sam, Ed and Boyd Lewis, and two sisters: Isabel Mazza and Geraldine Schwab; and an infant daughter Sharon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 North Chestnut Street, Palmyra at 1:00 PM. There will be no viewing. Family visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
