CPL (Ret) Howard I. Endy, PSP

Howard Irvin Endy, 78, of Annville, passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.  He was born Monday, August 9, 1937 in Reading to the late Raymond William and Mae Elizabeth (Derr) Endy.  He is survived by his loving wife Judith (Adams) Endy.  

Howard proudly served in the United States Army from ’58-’61.  Cpl. Endy retired from the State Police in 1991; he was in the Rodeo from ’63-’75 as a motorcycle trick rider, and a member of the FOP.  Howard was a life member of the Shellsville VFW Post 9639, the American Legion Post 910, and the AMVets, and a member of the Galeton Moose Lodge 826, and Hershey Italian Lodge.  He was an active Mason, a member of the Brownstone Lodge 666, the Shriners, the Tall Cedars in Reading, and the Consistory.  Howard was a faithful member of St. John’s ECC in Steelstown.  An avid hunter and sportsman he enjoyed the outdoors and was also a member of the National Parks.  He was a member of numerous motorcycle clubs including: National and Blue Mountain HOG, Blue Knights International, and Lebanon Valley Motorcycle Club.  

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Heather Endy and fiancé Eric Rubright and Hollie Bair and significant other Chris Kulp; 4 grandchildren, Sheena Smith and husband Mike, Stephanie and Nicholas Rubright, and Katelyn Bair; 2 great-grandchildren, Ella Smith and Camden Spangler; 3 step-children, Tanya Shuman and husband JD, Crystal Hansell-Curtis and husband Ken, and Damian Parker and wife Amanda; 7 step-grandchildren, Derrik Kopenhaver, Chase Longenecker, Eve and Isaiah Shuman, Kirsten and Cameron Curtis, and Rocco DeRose; a cousin, Nancy Tobias; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother William Endy.  

Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, July 1, 2016 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor William J. McEllroy, Jr. officiating.  Masonic Services will be held at 11:30 AM with a memorial service to follow at noon.  Burial with full military honors will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
