Janet (Davis) Batdorf

Janet (Davis) Batdorf, 88, of Hummelstown, passed away with family by her side on Friday, January 22, 2016 in her home.  She was born Monday, October 3, 1927 in Plymouth, PA to the late Evan Lewis and Janet (Humphreys) Davis.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth C. Batdorf in 1976. 

She was a member of the Lioness Club.  Janet was an avid Philadelphia sports teams fan.  She retired from Hershey Foods, where she worked in the Kiss department. 

She is survived by a son, Charles E. Davis, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by siblings, Lewis Davis and Grace Eisenhour. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, University Development & Alumni Relations, 600 Centerview Drive, A120, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.  Please make checks payable to Penn State University with a notation on memo line “to benefit Cancer Institute.”
