Lawrence C. Lampkin

Lawrence “Larry” Carlton Lampkin, 64, of Harrisburg, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  He was born Saturday, June 9, 1951 in Crisfield, MD to the late Robinson Brown and Ollie Mae (Lampkin) Wilson.  He was lovingly raised by his mother and her husband Edward Wilson, and late grandmother Ardelia Lampkin.

Larry graduated from Lebanon High School in 1970, earned an Associates Degree from Montgomery County Community College, and spent his professional career with UPS as a package handler and later advancing to audits and quality assurance.  He had a passion for cars, especially fond of his Corvette, enjoyed sports and working out at the gym.  He was also known by family and friends for his unique charismatic ability to bring a story to life.  Most of all he loved God and his family with every ounce of his being.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by five children, Brandon Lampkin of Lebanon, Ardelia Lampkin and husband Kevin Smith of Harrisburg, Antonio Kreiser and fiancé Iris Rosario of Shillington, Jeanne Lampkin and Cordelia Lampkin of Hershey; five grandchildren, Avery Lampkin, Jaelyn Kreiser, Jasadie Hammond, Ava Kreiser, and Aven Kreiser; two step-sons, E.J. Bertolet of Virginia Beach, VA and K.C. Bertolet of Palmyra; step-daughter Jennifer Greenawalt, step-granddaughter Sienna Proctor of Hershey; step-mother, Henrietta Brown of Chester, MD; seven siblings, Arthur Lampkin, Jerry Lampkin, Kathy Lacour, Debra Wilson-Harris, Louise Wilson, Jacqueline Ressler, and Edward Wilson.

A Home-Going Celebration will be held Saturday, September 5th at 11 AM at St. John’s AME Church, 1244 Walnut Street, Lebanon, PA 17042 with Rev. George H.
