Odell I. (Shifflett) Hostetter Grubb

Odell I. (Shifflett) Hostetter Grubb, 84, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully in her home, with family by her side on Monday, November 14, 2016.  She was born Saturday, November 12, 1932 in Green County, Virginia to the late Harry Nelson and Alice Crimora (Shifflett) Shifflett.

She is survived by 5 children, Roger Shifflett and wife Eleanor, Judy Holderfield and husband Charles, Clay Hostetter and wife Krystal, Lisa Lynn and husband Kevin, and Patty Herbert and husband Dave; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 3 grand-fur-babies; Bud; and a sister, Beulah Harpine.  She was predeceased by her husband George Grubb; a son, David Wayne Shifflett; and 6 siblings. 

Odell had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her flowers as well as watching the birds.   She liked doing word searches and loved watching soap operas, Lifetime TV movies, and horror movies.  Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. 

Family and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday, November 15th from 6-8 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16th at noon at the funeral home with burial following the service in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
