Pamela L. (Emter) Bechtel

Pamela L. (Emter) Bechtel, 58, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Hershey Medical Center.  Born September 12, 1960, in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Hilde (Kuhn) Emter.  She was married to Jeffrey A. Bechtel on May 4, 1985.

Pam worked at Hershey Medical Center in various capacities for over 30 years.  She was very active and dedicated to her charities including “Horizon of Hope” which raised money for the treatment of breast cancer.  She was a multi-talented and highly energized woman who enjoyed her artwork and was also an avid cook and baker.  Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.

In addition to her husband of over 33 years, she will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Meghan L. Bechtel; a son, Matthew R. Bechtel; her mother in law, Miriam L. Bechtel, all of Palmyra; two sisters, Erika Clara, wife of Aldo, of Mount Pleasant, PA and Angie Ginnetto, wife of Len, of Palmyra; her fur baby, Remington, as well as Pam’s extended family and caring friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  There will be a viewing held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM and also from 10 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.  Flowers will be received at the funeral home.
