Robert A. Lutz, Sr.

Robert A. Lutz, Sr., 74, of Grantville, passed away with family by his side on December 31, 2015 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  He was born June 5, 1941 in Mechanicsburg to the late Henry, Sr. and Alda (Marquart) Lutz.  He was predeceased by his loving wife Nancy (Bradley) Lutz in 2000. 

He proudly served in the United States Navy, was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion Post 72.  Robert retired from Met Ed where he was employed as a safety engineer.  He was a faithful member of East Shore Baptist Church and a member of the Palmyra Sportsman Club and the NRA.  Robert was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed going to Yoga at Silver Sneakers, and socializing over his morning cup of coffee.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. 

He is survived by 6 children, Kurt Wenrick and wife Bonnie, Kimberly Gasparatz and husband Thomas, Shannon Lutz, Robert Lutz, Jr., Jill Lutz, and Naomi Lutz; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 siblings, Lenora Selders, Lorena Millette, Anna Lutz (twin), and Henry Lutz, Jr..  He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Winifred Fishel and Ruth Fertenbaugh. 

A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to East Shore Baptist Church, 6721 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg 17112.
