Ruth B. Wolfe

Ruth B. (Wachsmuth) Wolfe, 77, of Palmyra passed away at home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Born in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Curtis B. and Hazel (Gibson) Wachsmuth. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 11 years, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Dale E. Wolfe.

She earned a BS in Business Administration, with Healthcare Administration concentration from The Pennsylvania State University in 1982. She was a manager in the Healthgain Center of the Capital Health System (Harrisburg Hospital) from 1982 until May of 1994.  During her time there, she designed and implemented the Health Promotion program. Ruth also was an instructor of Personal Stress Management, certified by the National Center for Health Promotion in Ann Arbor, MI. She was a speaker on Humor as a Healing Force.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children: Brian W. Brillinger (Sheryl) of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Beth E. Brillinger (Jack Banha) of Blue Bell; daughter in law Amy Brillinger; three grandchildren: Autumn Brillinger, Mika Banha, and Max Banha; first husband Henry B. Brillinger III; brother retired Air Force Lt. Col. C. Wayne Wachsmuth of Shippensburg; and sister Linda W. McKonly of Hanover. She was preceded in death by her son Brett H. Brillinger.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 6PM on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Visitation will be held from 5-6 PM prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
