Theodore L. "Ted" Herr

Theodore L. Herr, 68, of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Glenn H. and Ruth (Jurrell) Herr. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 46 years, Janice K. (Kline) Herr.

Ted earned a Bachelor of Science degree in math from Elizabethtown College. Most of his career was spent in computer software. He lived for playing and coaching volleyball and met many of his friends through this sport. He was also an avid fan of the 76’ers and the Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin at Rattlesnake Camp, and Rehoboth beach. He also enjoyed traveling, especially planning the trip. His grandson Maxton was the light of his life. Ted’s family will fondly remember his simple love for a good Italian meal.

In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by a daughter, Erin E. Herr-Enright wife of Todd M., of Rochester, NY, grandson Maxton Gray Enright, and two brothers, Tad W. Herr, husband of Bobby, and Tod R. Herr, husband of Diane and one nephew, Tyler and two nieces, Tara and Tia.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Palmyra.
