Wayne M. Wagner, Sr.

Wayne Mark Wagner, Sr., 80, of Annville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.  He was born Saturday, September 19, 1936 in Hershey to the late Mark Kreider and Sara Jane (Hoffman) Wagner.  He was predeceased by his loving wife Vivian May (Kingsborough) Wagner. 

Wayne proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed repairing televisions and radios and was employed in the field of Avionics.  He was an avid antique and car collector, especially VW’s.  He took great joy in being outdoors walking, hunting, and riding his John Deere tractor.  Wayne attended St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church.  Most importantly Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  

He is survived by 3 children, Kathleen Harfmann, Karen Heberle and husband Thomas, and Wayne Wagner, Jr. and wife Karen; 6 grandchildren, Erik Harfmann, Jason Harfmann and wife Carley, Steven and Mitchell Heberle, Samantha Burkey and husband Jared, and Tyler Wagner; and 4 sisters, Joanne Umberger, Nancy Garrison, Paula Nester, and Audrey Buck.  He was predeceased by 4 siblings, Ronald, Kenneth, and Doris Wagner, and Carol Fake. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. William J. McEllroy, Jr. officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial with full military honors will follow services in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s honor to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 867, Hershey 17033.
