Alan Michael Shellenhamer

Alan Michael Shellenhamer, 36, of Palmyra passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 15, 2019.  Born Sunday, April 18, 1982 to Karen Helsel of Dover.  He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Heather P. Kimble.

A 2000 graduate of Palmyra High School, Alan continued his education at Lebanon Valley College and graduated with a B.S. in 2005.  He went on to work for the Social Security administration for several years.  He had a passion for music, a love for video games, and was a true humanitarian.  Most importantly he was a loving, husband, son, and friend.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a stepfather, Rev. Robert Helsel of Dover; his in-laws, Richard and Cindy Rheinish of York Haven; an uncle, Keith Shellenhamer and wife Janet; and 3 cousins.  He is predeceased by an uncle, Kim Shellenhamer.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Salvatore Buonocore officiating.   A time of viewing will be held from noon until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.
