Anna Marie DeLessio, 89 of Palmyra, formerly of Hazleton, passed away, Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Columbia Cottage in Palmyra. Born Wednesday, February 20, 1929 in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Shroba) Sisack. She was married 62 years to Albert N. DeLessio who passed away in November 2015.
A registered nurse, Anna Marie was very involved along side her husband in the family business, General Vending Company in Hazleton.
She is survived by six children: Nancy Kopczynskie of Conyngham, PA; Carol Brown and her husband David of Palmyra; David DeLessio and his wife Carol of Hanover, VA; Mary Beth Haggerty of Hazleton; Mark DeLessio of Hazleton and Amy Pergosky and her husband Darrius of Laurel, MD; a daughter in law Mary Lou DeLessio; a brother Michael Sisack of Warminster, PA; a sister Marysusan Umbriac of Danville, PA;12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and several grand dogs and grand cats.
In addition to her husband, Anna Marie was predeceased by a son Albert M. DeLessio and a granddaughter Jennifer DeLessio.
A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 at 3:00 PM. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
