Ashley (Garber) Raffa, 26, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. She was born Sunday, February 28, 1993 to Lori Garber. She is survived by her loving wife Jessica Raffa.
She was passionate about cooking and pastry arts with a love for marine biology. She loved all and any animals especially wolves and penguins. Her favorite flower was the tiger lily and Pluto was her absolute favorite Disney character among all of the characters.
Ashley was strong and confident, even if she didn’t see it herself. Most importantly she was a fighter. With a rare heart condition, she fought tooth and nail through every estimated prognosis and lifespan they gave her. She turned those timelines into milestones and miracles, becoming the oldest person ever to survive with her condition. Even to the very end, through the holiday season, she fought as hard and long as she could. Even she knew she was not going to be able to fight forever. That there would be a time that it would be too great a battle for her to overcome. Per her will and request, the last thing she had was cheese, which she absolutely loved. She passed away peacefully, as if in her sleep.
Ashley no longer has to fight, now she can finally rest. She will be missed and never forgotten.
In addition to her wife and mother she is survived by her daughters: Harmony and Viola Raffa; brother, Josh Garber; mother and father-in-law, Jonathan and Janice Wolf, Sr.; brother and sisters-in-law, Jonathan Wolf, Jr., Suheil Rivera and Julie Wolf; maternal grandmother, Betty Neuhauser; paternal grandparents, Charlene and Paul Garber; service dog, Lilly Sue Raffa; and chinchilla, King Stud Muffin.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Children’s Miracle Network, 1249 Cocoa Ave #115, Hershey, PA 17033.
