Curran "Bill" William Crouse

Curran William “Bill” Crouse, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra.  Born Wednesday, June 24, 1931 in York, he was the son of the late Millard Curran Crouse and Mary Jane (Gettys) Crouse.  He was married to Jacqueline D. (Dove) Peters Crouse for over 33 years.

Bill was an active member of Community Bible Church, Palmyra.  In his earlier years, he owned a dry cleaning business in York and later retired as a mechanical draftsman working for the former Teledyne Readco in York.

In addition to his wife, Jackie, of Palmyra, he is survived by five children: Cynthia Folk (John), of York; Michael Crouse (Laurie), of York; Jeffery Crouse (Lori), of York; Karen Morelli, of Hellam and Gregory Crouse (Jodie), of York.  Also surviving are 3 step-sons: Michael Peters (Wendy), of Gaithersburg, MD; Randall Peters (Kathy), of Palmyra, Steven Peters (Michelle), of Lebanon; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandson as well as a sister, Barbara Shelley (Donald), of Dover.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crouse.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Community Bible Church, 1849 South Forge Road, Palmyra, PA  17078 with Pastor Greg Wilson officiating.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, PA  17402.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to Community Bible Church, Palmyra.
