Dorothy N. Frey

A resident of Cornwall Manor’s Health Center, Dottie was born in Bellaire, Ohio on May 24, 1918

Her father was Thomas Elwood Null and mother was Lydia Mae (Mauk) Null.  She was married to Raymond Frey for 67 years until his death in 2008.

Her children are: Carol (Frey) Hollich – husband, George Hollich, and Raymond T. Frey Jr.- wife, Nancy (Martin) Frey.

Her grandchildren are: George J. Hollich III (Camille Rocroi), Kimberly Hollich (Alissa Plant), Loretta (Hollich) Fuller (Michael), Jeffrey Frey (Melanie), Erin (Frey) Walters (Brad), and Thomas Frey (Colleen).  Dottie also has eleven Great Grandchildren: Sebastien, Julien, Carolyn, Nora, Nolan, Nash, Lucas, Juliet, Molly, Abigail, and Natalie. Her sister-In-law is Marie (Edwards) Frey

She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 1935 and received a BA in English from Lebanon Valley College in 1939.  She spent 25 years as a school teacher in the Lebanon School District, (primarily 6th grade at Southwest Elementary School). During her teaching years she received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Valley Forge Freedom Foundation and an Outstanding Alumnus Award from Lebanon Valley College.

She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lebanon.  She served most recently on the Scholarship Committee and was a loyal choir member for over 60 years. She was a leader in the crafts program at Cornwall Manor, an avid Card and MahJong player, and on the Cornwall Manor Society ScholarshipTeam.  She and her late husband, Raymond loved to travel and visited over 55 countries and 50 states in their travels.  They produced numerous audio-visual programs for the Lebanon community on their travels and accompanied many of the travelogues with dinners featuring native dishes from those countries.

She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 757 Willow St., Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Trinity United Methodist Church, 757 Willow St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
