Gloria Jean (Radcliffe) Alexander

Gloria Jean (Radcliffe) Alexander, 80, of Harrisburg, formerly of Hershey, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at home. Born Thursday, September 2, 1937 in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Eloise Mary (Hunt) Radcliffe. She was the wife of Thomas David Alexander who passed away in 2007.

Gloria was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster. She was also a member of the Women’s Civic Club of Middletown as well as the Garden Club and the Herb Club. Most of all Gloria was a true homemaker who enjoyed gardening and, making her home clean, comfortable and the focal point for her family.

She is survived by a son Douglas Alexander of Palmyra; a daughter Laura Alexander (Raeden Hosler) of Harrisburg; four grandchildren: Lacy Brubaker (Curtis Brubaker), Ryan Alexander (Laura Alexander), Travis Alexander (Megan Alexander) and Autum Hosler (Maeghan DiPinto); eight great grandchildren and a sister Lisa Haas (Keith).

Gloria was predeceased by a granddaughter Sarah Alexander and daughter in law Debra Fake.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
