My deepest sympathy to each of you for your loss. Our heavenly Father is the source of life. He gives life to all. By means of the resurrection he assures us that he will restore life to many who have fallen asleep to death.

My uncle Greg was a one of a kind, a real stand up guy. Growing up I used to think he looked like "that guy" from magnum PI with his mustache, he had the looks of someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley or have on your bad side. But underneath the Tom Sellek mustache and the tough looking appearance, was a man who was as lovable and as kind as a giant teddy bear. Uncle Greg will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons. My fondest memory is from the summer I spent a week in Abington. As if rearranging Aunt PatPats jewelry Box wasn't like hitting the jackpot, I was able to hang out with Uncle Greg. During that visit he bought me my very first pair of Nikes. Bless his heart because I can not think of another person in this world that would have been so willing to take a pre teen shoe shopping. Uncle Greg must have taken me to 4 or 5 different stores to look for shoes. While we were shopping I was worried about spending too much. Uncle Greg told me I better stop looking at the prices and pick something that i love. Whatever color or style I wanted, I could get. I remember finally finding a pair! The ones I felt I could not live without. I remember him smiling at me and asking "are those the ones you want, lets get them". I had picked out a pair of white nikes with teal and purple piping. You would have thought they were made out of gold, I held onto that bag so darn tight on our drive home. I couldnt wait to get back to show Aunt Pat Pat and Chrissy. I don't remember much of anything else from that day, other than his genuine smile and the happiness he had for me when I picked out something I loved. To some it may have been just a silly pair of shoes, but to me it was so much more. It was the type of memory that is strong enough to inspire you to do something kind for others. I often think of him and that day in Footlocker when my own children give me that same smile and tight hug when I am able to doing a little something extra for them. I have always held that moment so close in my heart. That kind gesture he made that day, that simple act of kindness truly stood for the type of man he was. It spoke volume on his character and the love he had for his family. I was blessed to have him as my uncle and he will be sorely missed.

Thank you, ReeRee. Uncle Greg would have loved hearing about this memory. All these years, he's kept the condolence letter you sent, when you were 7, regarding his dad's passing. 💖

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Patty and family. My parents had a real love for Greg and truly cherished your visits. I vividly remember the warm banter between my Dad and Greg about ice hockey and their respective devotions to the Rangers and Flyers. I also fondly remember the ribbing Greg would give me about my beloved Islanders. Like my Dad, we lost a great man in Greg way too early. He will be missed greatly. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers!
