Helen Elizabeth (Miller) Fisher

Helen Elizabeth (Miller) Fisher, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.  Born Sunday, December 29, 1929, in Hanoverdale, she was the daughter of the late David H. and Kathryn M. (Wagner) Miller.

Helen attended Salem United Church of Christ, Campbelltown, where she was very active and involved in many groups in the church.  She enjoyed traveling, particularly bus trips and loved the wintertime, especially when it snowed!  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by five children: Lorene M. Taraschi, of Palmyra; Robert G. Fisher, married to Ronnie, of Palmyra; Rosemary L. Bickle, married to Donald, of Grantville; Kathleen A. Jennings, married to Michael, of Grantville and Phyllis C. Lapidus, married to Arthur, of Pittsburgh.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren as well as Helen’s extended family and caring friends.  She was preceded in death by a son, Mark W. Fisher, a granddaughter, Darcy and a great-great granddaughter, Hannah.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Salem United Church of Christ, 2761 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown, PA  17010, with Pastor Dwight Hein officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Shenk’s Community Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
