Jack A. Alwine, 81, of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Palmyra, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Hoffer) Alwine. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 56 years, Ellen (Gipe) Alwine.
Jack owned four antique autos and belonged to several area car clubs. As a proud Army veteran, he was very involved with the Hershey VFW. After retirement, he still stayed active in the beer tap coil cleaning business.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by four daughters: Tammy Howard (Ben), Rose MacCulloch (Will), Joanne Alwine, and Amy Alwine (Keivan), and five grandchildren: Dustin Valentic, Sarah Blocker, Cali, Keilian, and Aaron MacCulloch, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Margaret, James, Georgie, Aaron, and Catherine.
A viewing will be held on Monday, November 25th, from 6-8PM at the funeral home and prior to the service on Tuesday, November 26th, from 10-11AM.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, November 26th at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Roger Bucy officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Palmyra.
