Jacqueline Mae (Schimpf) Landis

Jacqueline M. Landis, 80, of Palmyra passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the MS Hershey Medical Center. She was born Wednesday, May 19, 1937 to the late Karl and Lovera (Hartman) Shimpf.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry B. Landis since March 16, 1998.

She was a hostess at Fenicci’s restaurant in Hershey for 25 years along with working in the concession stand at the Palmyra pool for over 10 years.  Jacqueline was a part of the Palmyra band boosters and was Cub Scout den mother who loved reading, needlepoint, Beanie Babies, and her pet cats.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Pearson of Grantville; 3 sons, Brian (Julie) Landis of Manheim, Karl (Teresa) Landis of Palmyra, and Mark (Annette) Landis of Myerstown; 3 grandchildren, Katina Ziegler, and Jacob and Alicia Landis; 2 great-grandchildren, Alexis Ziegler and Clayton Coon; 3 step-grandchildren, Jonathan Logan, Jennifer Callahan, and Philip Cross; and a sister Patricia (William) Kapp of Jonestown.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 31th at 11 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Samuel Fry officiating.   Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 10 AM until time of service.
