Janet M. Kotay

Janet M. Kotay, 86, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Masonic Village. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Mabel (Seaman) Burkholder. Janet was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl J. Cline, Jr. in 1962. She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 42 years, Milevoy Kotay.

Janet worked as a patient care assistant at Hershey Medical Center for over 20 years.

She was a 52 year member of the Eastern Star, and founded the “Foxy Ladies” chapter of the Red Hats, where she was Queen Mom. Janet was an avid reader, enjoyed being out and about experiencing new things, and collected over 100 teddy bears in her lifetime.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children: Shirley Cline (Cindy Barden) of VA, Linda Cline Wittig of Hummelstown, and Ronald Cline (Sally) of Palmyra; three step sons: Ronald Kotay (Bonnie) of AK, Gregory Kotay (Joan) of Lebanon, and Daniel Kotay (Sandy) of Wolmersdorf; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister Faye Nye of Lititz, and two step sisters: Jean Blouch (Allen) of FL, and Patricia Miller (Art) of CO, and other extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. There is no visitation prior to the service. Burial will be private and at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Village at Elizabethtown for their Hospice services and mailed to Masonic Villages, Office of Gift Planning, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
