Jerry Wilson Allen, II

Jerry Wilson Allen, II, 59, of Grantville, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 after a long journey with Frontal Temporal Degeneration (FTD).  Born Friday, April 10, 1959 to Jerry Wilson Allen and Jeanette (Bowes) Vinson in White Sulphur Springs, WV.  He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly Jerpe Allen and his children, Kataleena (Ward), Hanna and Scott; step- siblings, Teresa and Robert Vinson; his beloved dogs, Mickey and Dingo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
Jerry loved his God, his family, his country and his dogs.  He was ever optimistic, an avid hunter,a certified SCUBA diver, and enjoyed travel with his family.  In his earlier years he sought out many adventures including skydiving and hang gliding.  Jerry graduated from Northern Lebanon High School and received a bachelor degree from West Chester University.  He leveraged his Master’s degree from American University as Deputy Director of Finance for Pennvest, from which he retired after 24 years.   He was an active member of Palm Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer and council member.
 
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 27 at 11 AM at Palm Lutheran Church, 11 W. Cherry St., Palmyra.  Viewing 10-11 AM.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rothermelfuneralhome.com.
