Joseph John Lucas, 80, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Traditions of Hershey. He was born Monday, October 11, 1937 in Lykens to the late Joseph V. and Margaret S. (Hirsch) Lucas. He was predeceased by his wife, Marcia E. (Nolt) Lucas.
He graduated from Lykens High School in 1955 where he was elected Class President and earned the honor of Valedictorian. He served honorably in the US Air Force as an air traffic controller. He was a General Manager for Boyd VW in Lebanon for 28 years and Jaguar/Land Rover of Harrisburg for 23 years, and was Past President of the Greater Lebanon Valley Lions Club. Joe enjoyed travelling the US and Europe. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Mary Ann (Nastase) Miller; 3 sons, Joseph B. Lucas and wife Charlene of Ft. Worth, TX, Philip J. Lucas and wife Jami of Oak Hill, VA, and Eric D. Lucas and wife Dawn of Palmyra; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Dale and Dennis Lucas. He was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Lucas and a sister, Lorraine Brawley.
