Lee D. Rader

Lee Donald Rader, 85, of Palmyra, PA passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Born in Sinking Spring, he was the son of the late Mahlon S. and Nora (Angstadt) Rader. He was widowed by his wife, Barbara (Frederick) Rader in 1998. He will be greatly missed by his loving partner of 17 years, Dolores Edmonds.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Joan R. Travis (Harry) of FL, and Kathy R. DeLorenzo (Raymond) of GA, two grandsons, Daniel and Peter Travis, and loving members of Dolores’ family. He was preceded in death by his brother Gene Rader and sisters Joyce Middleton, Fern Reynolds, and Kathryn Wagaman.

A member of the Wilson High School class of 1949, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953 and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He then had a 40-year career in utilities service and management for UGI Corp.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church, 433 E. Main St., Hummelstown, PA 17036 with Rev. John A.Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM prior to the service. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
