Mary-Margaret "Kerrie" (Waltz) Bjorkstedt, 71, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly with family by her side Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Friday, January 10, 1947 to the late Charles O. and Wilma T. (Tonkin) Waltz. She is survived by her loving husband just short of 50 years of marriage, Peter C. Bjorkstedt.
A graduate of Penn State University with honors Mary-Margaret was not only an RN but also a proud addictions counselor. She was an avid traveler with a love for national parks. Mary-Margaret also never failed to tell someone that she loved them. She was not only a loving wife but a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Eric Bjorkstedt and wife Kim Bonine, and Jonathan Bjorkstedt and fiancé Amber Painter; a daughter, Jeanine Gipe and husband Kenneth II; grandchildren, Piper, Fisher, and Erin Bjorkstedt, and Kenneth Gipe, III; a brother, Charles Waltz and wife Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
