Neil Eugene Penvose, 73, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born Sunday, October 29, 1944 in Sykesville to the late John and Helen (Saline) Penvose. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Michelle (Harrick) Penvose.
He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and retired as an internal auditor for AMP Incorporated. He was a faithful member of Palm Lutheran Church where he served as Sexton and was active in the Stephen Ministry. He enjoyed family vacations to the Chesapeake Bay where he found much peace and comfort. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by a son, Jon Erik Penvose of Kennesaw, GA; a daughter, Brooke E. Penvose and companion Matthew Yingst of Palmyra; two grandchildren, Tyler Thomas and Jacqueline Penvose; a brother, Richard Penvose and wife Joyce of Sykesville. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Debra Penvose; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 10 AM at Palm Lutheran Church, 11 West Cherry Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Kate Warn officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation period of food and fellowship following the service at the church.
