Raymond V. Troutman, Sr.

Raymond V. Troutman, 70, of Palmyra, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Stanley A. & Irene C. (Lerch) Troutman. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Moyer) Troutman.

Most recently, Raymond drove a bus for D.B. Fisher. He was often requested by Lebanon Valley College sports teams to drive them to their away games. This afforded him the ability to see much of the country, and some towns in Canada. He shared a love of antique cars with his sons. They would show their 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and won awards at competitions. He was also a member of the Vintage Chevy Club of America. He also enjoyed going hunting and fishing with his sons. Another love of Raymond’s was trains. He would always construct a large Christmas display in their house with his train collection. In his younger years he was a member of the Bellegrove & Palmyra Fire Company. Most of all, he will be remembered as a good father and good husband.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Raymond V. Troutman, Jr., husband of Wendy S. and William J. Troutman, both of Palmyra; two granddaughters: Alexandria & Olivia; and three sisters: Sandra Troutman, Mary Zitsch, wife of Jere, and Lori Sweigert, wife of Larry, all of Annville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra PA. A Viewing will be held from 10AM until the time of the service, and also on Thursday, December 27 from 6-8PM. Burial will be in Grand View Memorial Park.
