Robert E. Morris, Sr.

Robert E. Morris, Sr., 52, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, May 7, 2018. Born in Hershey, he was the son of the late Carl C. and Katherine (Graby) Morris. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 24 years, Vickie L. (Sponenberg) Morris.

Robert was a lifelong music lover: Skynryrd ,Molley Hatchet Allman Brothers, Big Rush Fan and many more, and was a Beatles collector. He was drummer/lead singer for his band, Smokin’ Gunnz. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Road King, driving his Srt8 Challenger and had a love of old sports cars.  When his sons were younger he liked to take them hunting and fishing.

He loved the cruises he took and Hawaiian vacations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mike Morris & fiancé Katelyn Drayer of Harrisburg, and Robert Morris, Jr.,  & girlfriend Georgeanne Pritchett of Evergreen AL; step-son Michael Bryan & wife Cari of Hershey; two granddaughters, Emma and Isabela; two brothers, Carl and Curt Morris, and also his band family: Mike Brady, Chris Dellaporta, Rick Marko, Zach Beers, Greg Hershey, Allen Stern, Rick Grim, and Devon Aldinger. He was preceded in death by two brothers Michael and Charlie Morris.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with Pastor Kirby Dubble officiating.  A viewing will be held from 11-1pm prior to the service.  A motorcycle precession will proceed to Grand View Memorial Park following the service.
