Stella Yvonne (Book) Walmer

Stella Yvonne (Book) Walmer, 56, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  Born Sunday, August 12, 1962 to Janet Louise (Davis) Ocker and the late Charles George Book.  She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Patrick Walmer.

A woman with several hobbies who loved crafts Stella especially enjoyed tatting, and watercolor painting.  She was an avid reader and loved listening to music.  She was a member of the Gravel Hill United Methodist Church where she played in the bell choir and worked at their Christian Child Center.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt.

In addition to her husband Stella is survived by 3 brothers, Scott A. Book and wife Denise, Matthew C. Book and wife Tammy, and Charles J. Book; 4 sisters, Marlene K. Shearer and husband Mark, Dorothy Casella and husband George, Charlene Book, and Amanda Funk and husband Brandon; 12 nieces and nephews, 1 great niece; 1 great nephew; step mom, Nancy Book; and step dad, Earl Ocker.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11AM at the Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Douglas Smith officiating.  A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until time of the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
