Virginia "Gini" (Updegraff) Rabena

Virginia Lou Rabena (Gini) 90 years old, passed away on Tuesday at 6:00pm at Frey Village, Middletown. Gini was born on June 22, 1926 in Harrisburg, PA to Norman E. and Mary O. Updegraff.  She was a graduate of William Penn High School, 1943.  Gini was Personnel Director of Bowman’s Department Store for 29 years until its closing in 1976.  Gini lived for many years in New Cumberland, PA

She was predeceased by her parents and sisters: Ruth Johnson, Kathlyn Brown, Annabelle Megonnell, Jane Stewart and one brother Lee Updegraff.  She was the last of the Updegraff sisters to pass away.  Gini is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 7 in the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 25 W. Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078.  Viewing from 10:00-11:00am service at 11:00.  Burial to follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to PA Breast Care Coalition, 2397 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA  17042.  On memo line put “In memory of Virginia Rabena”.
