William "Bill" David Levine

William “Bill” David Levine, 70, of Groveland, FL, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born Saturday, October 26, 1946 in Beaver Falls to the late Harry and Laura (Balzer) Levine.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of 35 years, Susan (Miller) Levine, on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.

He gradated from Beaver Falls High School and attended Penn State University before enlisting in the US Army where he proudly served in Vietnam earning many decorations, medals and commendations.  He retired from the PA State Police as a computer operations manager.  He was a member of The Church of the Holy Spirit until he moved to FL in 2008, joining Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, but most of all, he cherished his grandchildren and family.     

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy D. Gourley, wife of Bill of Hummelstown and Kelly J. Reed, wife of  Shawn of Groveland; seven grandchildren, Jamie A., Sarah J., and Alexander W. Gourley, Chase M., Wyatt C., Gavin D., and Ryker Q. Reed; a brother, Harry H. Levine and wife Carol of Katy, TX; a sister, Denise C. McColly and husband Robert of Ligonier; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, September 20th at 11 AM at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.  Family and friends are invited for viewing on Tuesday, September 19th from 6 to 8 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
