Andrew Keane Obituary

Andrew Keane, 53, of Middletown, died suddenly on January 19, 2021, after a tragic accident at home. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa Sheidy.  He was born May 25, 1967 to Antoinette R. (Daniels) Keane and the late John F. Keane.

Andrew is also survived by a large family including his siblings: Daniel Keane and his wife Sharon, Elaine Keane, Linda Sakelaris and husband John, and Kathy Shearn and husband Steve; parent-in-laws, Richard P. Sheidy and Ethel M. Sheidy; siblings-in-law, Melinda Ierley and husband Marc, Melissa Sehein and husband Timothy, and Ryan Sheidy and significant other Candace Costik; nieces and nephews, Lauren, Austin, Jonathan, William, Alexa, Jennifer, and Jason; nieces and nephews-in-law, Logan, Tanner, Parker, and Kayla.

Andrew was known as the best son, husband, brother and friend anyone could have.  Andrew was also a great cat dad to his beloved Pint and Jack.  His passion for life was infectious to everyone around him. Andrew loved cars, especially Trans-Ams, and had a great love for the game of golf, traveling to Ireland several times to play.  Andrew was well known as a foodie. He and Lisa would explore quaint, out of the way places to try new foods and wines. He was very happy when cooking in the kitchen.  He and his lifelong friend Mark Kleinsak were partners of Kleansak Brewing, a “local craft brewery”.  Andy was especially in love with the front porch at the “Sheidy Family Camp” in Potter county where he enjoyed the peaceful mountain views and sitting quietly with his thoughts.

Andrew has touched many people with his caring attitude, infectious smile and funny wit. Not to mention his memorable bear hugs.  Lisa will forever miss her “Bunny”.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 4-7PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.

For 29 years, Andy worked side by side with his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and John Sakelaris, running a charity golf tournament to benefit the Sunshine Foundation.   The Sunshine Foundation's mission is to make dreams come true for chronically ill children.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation this organization in Andy's name:  https://www.sunshinefoundation.org/how-you-can-help/
