Betty Snyder Obituary

Betty (Zettlemoyer) Snyder, 95, of Highspire, PA, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Middletown Home.  She was born on May 6, 1924 in Milton, PA. The daughter of Katherine and Harvey Zettlemoyer. 

Betty graduated from Milton High School in 1942 and was employed in the office of Chef Boyardee Foods. She married her loving husband Eugene Snyder in 1944, and moved to Highspire following WWII, where they resided their entire married lives.  Betty worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for her husbands construction business. She was a woman of faith, and taught Sunday school or over 25 years.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Betty enjoyed working with flowers, decorating, dabbing in poetry, and especially entertaining with her husband in their mountain retreat, the joy of their lives.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, sisters; Dorothy Neitz, Elizabeth Diffenderfer, Josephine Ream, Cleota Baker, and brothers; Charles, Theodore, Raymond, Lewis and Robert Zettlemoyer.

Betty is survived by a loving son; Dennis E. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, Gregory, Konnie, Kaitlin and Savanna, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Rd., #260 Ambler, PA 19002.
