Clair E. Kreider, 99, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Courtyard Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Middletown. He was married to Edythe I. (Robinson) Kreider for over 66 years until her death on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
A Veteran of WWII, Clair proudly served with the U.S. Air Force (U.S. Army Air Corps), from February 4, 1943 to May 9, 1946, as a Parachute Rigger for the 76th Flying Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group and Flying Tigers.
He is survived by a daughter, Karol A. Saner, married to Edward, of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Charlene “Char” R. (Kolak) Kreider. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Reverend Kenton E. Kreider, as well as four sisters and six brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543. Burial will follow in Shenk’s Community Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown, with military honors. Closed casket visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Friday.
