Elwood "Woody" Lynn May

Elwood “Woody” Lynn May, 80, of Harrisburg, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Harrisburg after a brief illness. Born Wednesday, August 13, 1941 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Edna (Reese) May. 

Elwood attended Hershey High School, class of 1961. A US Navy veteran of Vietnam, he served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He was retired from the Defense Distribution Center in New Cumberland.

Elwood is survived by two children David and Tina of Arizona; a sister Rosie Wester and husband Ronnie of Rocky Mount, NC; a brother Randy May of Hershey, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard May.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
