Fay Rebecca (Weicht) Smith

Fay Rebecca (Weicht) Smith, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing, Palmyra.  Born Wednesday, June 15, 1932, in Everett, PA, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Mae F. (Barkman) Weicht.

She is survived by five children: Rebecca F. Spahr, married to Douglas, of Palmyra, Zona L. Hearn, married to Ray, of Mount Joy, Eric F. Smith, married to Kathy, of Palmyra, Rachel L. Bowser, married to David, of York Haven and Mary L. Smith, of Harrisburg.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great-great granddaughters as well as Fay’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew T. Smith.

A funeral service will be held (in compliance with Covid-19 guidelines) at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211 with Pastor Marlin Heagy officiating.  A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
