Janice L. Longenecker

Janice L. Longenecker, 73, of Hershey, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Rosie M. (Gaspari) Vance, and married 41 years to her loving husband, Earl V. (Bud) Longenecker.

Janice enjoyed her family, politics and interior design.  She held positions as an Executive Assistant at the House of Representatives, Real Estate Agent, Make-Up Artist, and successful Entrepreneur owning her gift store, “Through the Looking Glass”.  She loved using her creativity to make others feel special designing a FB page “Simply Beautiful Expressions of Life”, which provided inspiration to all of her 40,000+ followers worldwide.  Above all, Janice loved her family, devoting herself as a “Gee Gee” to her grandchildren. She had a beautiful, generous heart that was shared with all, and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by two children:  Laurie Rippon of Hershey, Don Longenecker of Lebanon, four grandchildren, Paige and Julia Rippon, and Chase and Emilee Longenecker, brother James Vance and wife Jayne of West Point, NY, four step-children, and her loving dog Sophie. 

Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Palmyra, PA.
