Margaret Mason Obituary

Margaret “Maggie” M. Mason, 70, of Palmyra, formerly of Lebanon, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center with her daughters by her side. Born Monday, September 3, 1951 in Sewickley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dorothea (McNally) and John Skolnekovich, Sr.

Maggie spent most Sundays with her family, which she proclaimed was the best time of her life.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, completing crossword puzzles, and playing board games including Scrabble and the card game “Hand & Foot”.  Prior to her health issues, Maggie enjoyed bowling in leagues and sewing which included making Halloween costumes for her kids and Renaissance garb for her daughter and granddaughter.

Maggie was a member of Community Bible Church of Palmyra. A caregiver by nature, she was previously employed by Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Philhaven. Throughout her life and career, she touched the lives of many people with her kindness and compassion. Even after her death, she continues to touch the lives of others through the Gift of Life.

Maggie is survived by her three children: Eric Mason and wife Sarah of Hephzibah, Georgia; Amy Powell and husband Ernie of Ephrata and Andrea Isenberg and husband Nick of Palmyra; 12 grandchildren; two sisters Marcia McLeod and Connie Ozanne; five brothers: Richard (Bobbie), Mitchell, Jerry (Arlene), Ivan (Karen) and George (Patrice) Skolnekovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by all, including her friends the “Popettes”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: D. Anne Skolnekovich, Jayne Davey and Patrice Kuhn, and a brother, John Skolnekovich, Jr.

A celebration of Maggie’s life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Community Bible Church, 1849 South Forge Road, Palmyra, PA 17078 at 11:00 AM.
