Melani K. Raffensperger

Melani K. Raffensperger, 61, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Hamilton Arms Center. Born Saturday, January 31, 1959 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Mildred (Dieffenbach) Raffensperger.

Melani attended Intermediate Unit 13 and worked at Goodwill Industries and Occupational Developmant Center. Growing up in Elizabethtown, she also spent many years living in the Friendship Community where she was very active in the Friendship Heart Gallery. She enjoyed creating various art, including painting, drawing and making jewelry. Melani would regularly attend Hempfield Church of the Brethren. She was an enthusiastic singer and loved playing games with family and friends. She also enjoyed hand held games and word search puzzles. Melani’s favorite foods were Chinese, pizza and cookies, and always wanted a soda with them. Most of all, Melani was a social butterfly and loved everyone. She always had the biggest smile on her face!

Melani is survived by a niece, Lisa M. Siddo of Harrisburg; a nephew, Scott Raffensperger of Elizabethtown and many cousins.

Service and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melani’s memory may be made to Friendship Community at www.extragive.org.
