Rosanne (Dziki) Jackson

Rosanne D. Jackson, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was born Saturday, February 6, 1943 to the late Joseph and Josephine Dziki. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Douglas Jackson.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son: Douglas Jackson, II, and his partner Salena Herbinko; daughter, Stephanie Jackson-Grumbein; son-in-law, Michael  Grumbein; grandchildren, Cooper Jackson, Jackson Grumbein, and Luke Grumbein; sister, Carol DiPietro; her beloved niece and eight nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister Elizabeth Dziki: brothers, Joseph Dziki and his wife Beverly and Thomas Dziki and his wife Virginia; and brother in law, Rocco DiPietro.

Rosanne graduated from Blakley High School in 1960, where she was named best dancer of her class.  Rosanne was a dedicated member of the Holy Spirit Church and sang in the choir.  She was retired from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives where she served as a Legislative Assistant for 25 years.  She loved music, dancing, thrift shopping, and attending her grandsons’ sporting and music events.  She took great pride in her family and Polish heritage.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA with Father Anthony Dill officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Carolyn’s House, Hospice of Central PA, 1701 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
