Russel W. Baughman, 51, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Elizabethtown, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Born Sunday, January 5, 1969, he was the son of William F. Baughman and Shelby (Enterline) Askman. He was engaged to Malinda L. Seibert, whom he had plans to wed this November 11th, 2020.
A decorated Veteran, Russel proudly served with the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm, earning him the Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Medal. He was the president/creative director at Pheonyx Fyre Arts and was also a member and president of CenPenn Beachcombers Club in Elizabethtown for 20 plus years. Russel enjoyed the outdoors, scuba diving, collecting seashells and also assisted with local fireworks displays.
He is survived by his fiancé, Malinda L. Seibert, of Elizabethtown; his father, William F. Baughman, married to Debra, of Elizabethtown and his mother, Shelby Askman, married to Jan, of California. Also surviving are two sisters, Emily M., married to Devin Couser, of Mechanicsburg and Mallory J. Baughman, of Elizabethtown; his biological mother, Linda Cole, biological father, Ralph Clemens, Sr., a biological brother, Ralph Banzhof, Jr. and his fiancé, Regina, as well as Russel’s extended family and caring friends.
The Memorial Service and Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until Noon with a memorial service from Noon-1 PM. At the conclusion of the memorial service, a procession will begin to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville for a 2:30 PM committal service with full military honors.
