Wilmott J. “Willie” Marshall, 92, of Lebanon, at home with family by his side, went to be with the Lord and Savior, whom he faithfully loved and lovingly served. Willie was one of nine children born to the late William Charles and Lorenza (Groulx) Marshall in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He is predeceased by his loving wife Barbara A. (Zemba) since January 12, 2011
Willie “The Whip” Marshall is known as the “Wayne Gretzky of the American Hockey League”, holding all of the AHL’s offensive records: most goals, most points, most assits, most hat tricks, and most games played.
Willie was a man of great Christian faith, a Bible believer, often seen wearing his John 3:16 baseball cap. He had ministries in nursing homes, through gospel tracts, and on the streets. He was also an author of 5 books; including, Bible poetry, history, prophecy, and his autobiography.
He is survived by his four children: William J. Marshall and wife Cynthia, Ann Marie Marshall, Jane Harding and husband John, and Joanne Smith and husband Matt; twenty-two grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2023 at 11AM at Open Door Baptist Church, 875 Academy Dr., Lebanon. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
